Social Bookmarking: Another Business Tool

Monday, April 12th, 2010

With the popularity of social networking sites, there has been a surge of social bookmarking sites too. Social networks revolve around the maintenance of relationships between members of the community. Social bookmarking, on the other hand, is responsible for connecting content that are made by its members. Because of its connectivity function, social bookmarking sites provide another business tool for site owners.

It is no longer uncommon to see icons at the bottom of blog posts and articles. When you hover the mouse, website names like Technorati, Digg, Furl or Delicious pop out. These are social bookmarking sites. A social bookmarking site is pretty much the same as an actual bookmark. Bookmarks are made to indicate a page or passage so it will be easy to locate. The same purpose goes for social bookmarking icons. A website can be marked for convenience. Others can also be directed to a site using a social bookmark.

Cheating On Social Bookmarking!

Monday, April 12th, 2010

You have probably heard a lot about social bookmarking lately. Social bookmarking is an online tool that allows anyone to easily bookmark their favorite sites into an online archive. As a matter of fact, you can spend all your time crawling the web today just to find out what Social Bookmarking is all about. Well, not here. I am giving you this information. I have done all the research on Internet Marketing and found this to be a super way to get more traffic to your site. The best news is, it’s 100% FREE!

To detail all of the available features at these social bookmarking sites is well beyond the scope of this article – It would require a small ebook. With social bookmarking you can tag the site with “clothing” or “fashion” or “footwear” for example and when you select any of these tags in your own bookmarking area the site will be listed accurately!. Human/Real people have decided to save (tag/bookmark) the sites; not robots.

How to Automate Social Bookmarking

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

For Internet marketers, social bookmarking is an excellent way to drive free traffic to their websites. It’s also a great way to build backlinks to their sites. However, for each network you join, you must fill out a profile, write a description of your URL and finally submit your URL. Now, while this sounds ‘easy’, try doing this for 100 sites. It would end up taking you several days before you get through them all. But if you automate social bookmarking, you can submit as many sites as you need without going through this process.

Social Bookmarking Demon – An introduction to social bookmarks, tagging and folksonomy

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Social Bookmarking Demon – A short presentation from the guys at www.bookmarkingdemon.net A highly useful and very popular search system has developed with the advent of the recent Web 2.0 technologies. This is of course the phenomena known as social bookmarking. When the end user is locating resources that are relevant and useful to them, they are bookmarking it which usually means that the information is valuable. Social bookmarking works on the principle that if an information resource has been bookmarked, it then has some use, and then it’s value could be shared. It works on a similar principle to the normal bookmarking systems built into most browsers. Once a user brings up a website or page that they find valuable, they then bookmark it. That bookmark however is made on a social bookmarking site, rather than on the user’s PC. These sites hold vast collections of bookmarks that are shared and distributed around the world. The bookmark is tagged, which is where some words are entered that describe what the bookmark link is about, so that the information can have searches made against it. Social bookmarking has similarities with a wiki, because the system’s users manage the tags that accompany the bookmarks. Like a wiki, inaccurate tagging information will be filtered out over time, making the bookmark collection highly relevant to the subject being searched for. Social bookmarking has picked up a semi-scientific phrase, known as folksonomy. This is effectively a mash
