While everyone is caught up in the excitement of social media, one aspect that is often overlooked by beginners is social bookmarking. So what is social bookmarking and why should you be using it? Social bookmarking is essentially just like saving your “favorites” to your computer. When you find a site or article you like and want to come back to it later, you add it to your “favorites” file so you can easily locate it. So, when you social bookmark a website, you are doing the same thing but rather than saving the link on your computer, you are saving it to the internet for others to see and share as well. i heared this for last 1 month that Social Network Bookmarking is proved as a magic step to get in top with al your keywords whether you have millions of competitors? Social Network Bookmarking will takes you on top on all major search engine so i think to promote my site but here they chatge $29 for 100 Social bookmarks http://www.ebiztools.ca and i have almost 20 sites so should i have to go for it in that price is it suitable? here is my one of the main website:

If a social network would be distributed as open source, would you contribute to its development? Would you start your own social network, with a “hub” for contacts and decentralized tools as blogs, social bookmarks, etc?
Can an open source social network be successful?
steven25t: Thanks for the article. Unfortunatly, I cannot see it, I get a standard MSN blank page with ads. What about a social network with a mission, and not just with messy profiles?
