Social bookmarking is saving us a lot of time and energy that we’d usually spend scanning our RSS feeds or (the shock and horror of it all) actually visiting sites daily to find out what’s hot in the industry we work in along with our other interests. If you have a blog and you are not social bookmarking your articles you are making a big mistake. As a matter of fact, you are missing out on a tremendous amount of traffic and all of the benefits that go with it. It makes me wonder if this really is a secret that people are not aware of.
It shouldn’t be a secret of all but if it is let me dispel the that notion right now by saying that you should take a few minutes and social bookmark every blog post that you make. To rely strictly on blogging and pinging to get your post out into the marketplace is short changing yourself.
Promoting your blog is more than just making a blog post. Promoting your blog is taking the extra step to social bookmark it to the top directories in a couple of very simple ways.
