Who thinks taggers are artists?

Monday, March 15th, 2010

I have seen some graffitti art that really is nice, even if it is illegal, and i have seen some tagging that looks like a caveman would be ashamed of it.
Who thinks that tagging is art, and who hates it no matter what?
Any taggers want to defend their right to tag?
Personally i pay to be an artist, i BUY canvas or film or whatever it takes, i dont make others pay for it, anyone agree or disagree?

Many graffiti stencils are very unique. Most are of pop culture icons and reflections of teenage culture

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Graffiti stencils??? Seems to me that if you are going to take the time to do it, shouldnâ??t you be able to do it without a drawing aid?  Ironically such stencils are a popular item purchased in todayâ??s market. However, they are marketed as an art tool rather than a defacing tool. There is even a tutorial video available online at no cost, showing you exactly how the process works.

While not everyone who purchases graffiti stencils plans to use them for defacing property, many individuals due. There are legitimate uses for such stencils including redoing bedrooms, designing a childcare center, or designing a mural.

Many graffiti stencils are very unique. Most are of pop culture icons and reflections of teenage culture. Graffiti stencils work by using paper or cardboard to create an image to reproduce. The image is transferred by using spray paint or roll on paint. Multiple stencils can be used to create shading or depth. The stencil can then be quickly applied to a wall or other flat surface.
